26 Sivan 5770
It is known that a Choson does not recite the tachanun prayer during the seven days after the chuppah, days of blessing and celebration called Sheva Brochot. If he prays in a minyan, a quorum of ten, the entire group does not recite tachanun. If he davens with one hundred people, none recite it. And if the entire world was united in prayer with the Choson, then no one would say tachanun. Such is the greatness of the joy between Choson and Kallah, Groom and Bride!
Further: Everyone has an obligation to make a Choson and Kallah happy. Not only every person, but everything in Creation has this obligation - trees, animals and even inanimate stones. The reason for this is because the joy between Choson and Kallah contains the point that encompasses all "good," called shefa. Thus increasing the joy between Choson and Kallah is so important; it must be maintained and nurtured.
How is this done? It depends on the honor the Choson gives to his Kallah, as well as the opposite - the honor a Kallah gives to her Choson, which will have far-reaching consequences in the future. This honor creates the bessel to receive every possible good in life. It must be safeguarded and protected to ensure it remains a complete vessel, with no cracks or breakage, since a complete vessel cause a downflow of shefa from Above. There will be no problems with parnassa, livelihood, health, children or any other possible good.
May every Choson and Kallah be blessed with a complete vessel of honor, joy and happiness!
